Fully functional tide gauges and supplying data to the PSMSL. 2. Technical and local Support in terms of oceanic data. 3. Consultant in terms of sea level changes data. 4. Coastal erosion studies for the Country. 5. Application of sea level data in researc studies, storm-surges and fishery studies. 6. Presently awaiting the formal invitation from Chevron Oil Company for the building of a platform and housing to install the new tide gauge for the Country at Escavros. Recommendations: 1. Servicing and mainetenance of the tide gauges in the Country. 2. For future maintenance of the gauges, funds should be sought from internal, IOC and other sources. 3. Need for computers and relevant software. 4. Support the formation of an African GLOSS Network with West African, South African and Western Indian Ocean Groups.
