According to John Hannah, the data at Dunedin is of very poor quality with many small inconsistencies in the tide gauge zero. Subsidence is occuring in the whole wharf area. Subsidence at the gauge is now 1mm/yr.

A revised copy of the New Zealand data values for station Dunedin II has been received from the data supplier the Land Information New Zealand (LINZ). The revised dataset begins in 2000. This exercise has been carried out to correct some anomalies with the high frequency data.
